Quick Label

Last week I made a batch of fresh cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving. Since we couldn't join Brad's side of the family celebrating in Medicine Hat I thought I would send a jar of the sauce in our place. I made this label using a stamp from the Perfect Punches set. I first colored in the dots with my Certainly Celery marker and then the thin line and outside using Cherry Cobbler. Once the image was stamped I used the markers to write on the name. I like combining 2 styles of handwriting (or fonts if I am typing) I think it makes it jump out at you a little more. I then punched it out using the 1 3/4 Inch Scallop Circle. I used glue dots to stick it to a round of parchment paper and then tied it with a ribbon (not quite a perfect color match, but it looks OK). I am now inspired to make the labels for all of the canning I did this summer.

Cupcakes

Double Sided Paper

I like double sided paper. They are always perfect compliments. I favor ones that have a large pattern on one side and a more neutral one on the other.

I loved this patterned paper at the store when I bought it. Once I started making cards with it I wasn't as inspired as I had hoped. I don't know if I just wasn't feeling creative or what happened.

Happy Birthday

I made these cards needing one for a friend, but once I sat down and got started I ended up with 4.

It has been long time . . .

since I have done any card making or scrapbooking. I have been buying stuff but it has just been collecting, not being used. After going to a card class last Saturday my creativity was sparked and I spent last night making cards! I had such a good time, I can't believe it has been so long.
Here are the cards I made:
